While browsing some of the pictures from The Sartorialist, the ladies in bicycles have truly caught my eye.
from The Sartorialist
It makes me wonder why here in Metro Manila, I rarely see our ladies on them. Well, as if the rising gasoline prices and transportation fares would made them ride such.
We can't blame the weather since we're blessed with an eternal summer climate but what's really stopping us from riding bicycles? For me, the reason why I don't ride a bike to work is mainly because of the air pollution. Manila's transportation mainly relies on cars and buses. Air pollution here is constantly on the rise.
of course you can wear a suit
Here is a classic case of a solution to the problem is being hampered by the problem itself. So if I may ask my readers, what's stopping you from riding a bike everyday?
I really prefer just walking, and if where I'm going isn't within 30 min walking distance, well I'm too lazy to ride to be honest. I usually take the bus tho, because parking is a nightmare.
ReplyDeleteWoman on bikes - really I don't know something more sexy! :-)

The reason I don't bike is because I live in a really hilly place, the land isn't flat here. So it makes biking difficult. Also, general laziness, lol.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, women and bikes works well. What's stopping me from riding a bike? Well, I would actually like to move back into the country, and ride through scenery. City, congestion is blah to me.
ReplyDeleteI've always gotten a sore bottom from bicycles .___."
ReplyDeleteunfortunately the reason bikes aren't used too much in my area is that everything is so far away from each other that a car is needed to get from place to place, sad, I know
ReplyDeletei cant actually ride a bike
ReplyDeletei like biking. too bad the weather isnt supportive
ReplyDeleteSkirts and bikes don't always mix
ReplyDeleteSweat. Wherever I'm going,I need to be as fresh as possible, and I just don't feel good when riding a bike slowly, without muscle use. Somehow I can travel with a crowded bus or subway and not sweat most of the time.
ReplyDeleteA decent workplace where I could comfortably shower would probably convince me to ride a bike, if it wouldn't take too much time.
I wish bicycles were everyone's primary mode of transportation.
ReplyDeleteThe problem here with bikes is the lousy weather
ReplyDeleteI usually ride my bike in the summer months. But it's around 10 degrees right now. Not okay.
ReplyDeleteI've grown up on bikes, I only use my car if the place I have to go is over 10 miles away or if I have a large load I gotta take with me....saves money and keeps me fit!
ReplyDeleteI tend to walk because it's uphill all the way to work and walking is easier.
ReplyDeleteI live within a block off everything I need. My bike hasn't been out and about for months.
ReplyDeleteI love riding bikes :D Following
ReplyDeleteI don't leave the house, no need for a bike.
ReplyDeleteRight now I can't right because it's friggin' cold - there are stray dogs around and when you pass them by on a bike while it's so cold they snap at you and start chasing which really startles me. When it gets hot I ride frequently.
